Our team takes part in a variety of speech and debate events, with many members choosing to do both. For most speech events, a round has six competitors who are ranked and evaluated by their presentation, clarity, speaking ability, and interpretation. In debate events, competitors are assigned to either affirm or negate a statement against a opponent assigned the opposite side. Debaters are judged primarily by their argumentation, though speaking is also an important factor. See the pages below to learn more about the specifics of the events we compete in.
